Interim licence

The Hall Is Open

Gartcosh Development Trust has an interim licence to operate the Community Hall while the longer-term Community Asset Transfer is worked through. That means the doors are open now — and bookings you make today help prove the case for the Centre's future.

What's open now

  • Main Hall — flexible space with stage, for up to 70 people
  • Committee Room — meetings and small groups, up to 20
  • Catering kitchen — available with hall bookings
  • Step-free access and parking at the door

How booking works right now

  1. Submit a booking request online — it takes two minutes.
  2. We review it and get back to you to confirm the slot.
  3. Payment is arranged on the day (cash, card, or bank transfer).
  4. You enjoy the space — and every booking helps show the council the demand is real.

During the interim licence, bookings are requests until confirmed by the Trust. Rates follow our published pricing.

Why your booking matters

The interim licence is the first step towards the Community Asset Transfer of the hall and the former primary school. Every hire, class, and event held here is recorded as evidence of what Gartcosh needs and uses — and that evidence strengthens the case for the community taking these buildings on for good.
